Women’s Ministries

In this Eucharistic Year of Mission, buoyed by the knowledge and love of Jesus, we are sent forth to walk with others as spiritual companions and serve those in need.

Annual Overnight Retreat

Does your energy dim trying to juggle everything and leave you feeling invisible in your surroundings? Join other women on this journey and explore how Hagar bravely faces her circumstance in the book of Genesis after she encounters El Roi, the God who sees. You will open your heart to thrive spiritually and reflect on how God is present in your own story and truly sees each one of us. Let’s discover together how this being seen and loved calls us to support our family and neighbor.

Retreat cost of $130 includes a private room with bathroom, 3 meals, snacks, and drinks. Early bird discount of $5 if you register and pay by Oct 22. As an option, add Friday night to your stay for an additional cost of $75 to enjoy the scenic grounds. REGISTER AND PAY HERE!  (opens 9/13). We do not want to turn any woman away if cost is a factor, so there are scholarships available. For this and questions about the retreat, contact Chris Hauck at chrishauck0522@gmail.com.

The Chosen Season Three Scripture Study

Join us for season three of The Chosen: The Way of the Chosen! We begin Thursday, September 26 with morning sessions of 9-10:45 AM with childcare (6 months to 5 years) available OR 7-8:45 PM in the Davidson Room. This season is about going out on mission in the Way of Jesus while carrying our personal stories and weights with us. There are no books to purchase, but please bring a notebook or journal. Participants are provided weekly sheets with scripture passages to reflect upon prior to the session as well as discussion questions. We meet together to watch the episode, discuss and send forth with a mission for the week. Registration is now closed. If you have missed the registration window, please email jrice@stbrendans.net with your contact info and we will do our best to find space!

The Chosen Season Three Schedule

A parish-based outreach to women in special times of motherhood. It is scripturally grounded in the relationship between the Blessed Virgin Mary and her cousin Elizabeth. The purpose of the ministry is to affirm, support, encourage, and assist women in response to their needs during the childbearing years. Members meet to discuss spiritual and educational topics and share information on childbirth, infertility, infant loss and parenting skills. Playgroups are held on the first and third Wednesdays at 9:45 AM in the POD nursery and Davidson Room.
