Walking with Purpose

Have you ever considered that your day-to-day struggles are, at their core, timeless and universal? Though your challenges are deeply personal, they are also deeply human, and God has provided workable solutions for you through the teachings of Christ and the Roman Catholic Church.

Walking with Purpose would like to help you enjoy a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ, nurtured through personal Bible study and small group discussions created just for women.

January 2021 Program Information

In a world where levels of despair, addiction and suicide are rising, we need more than clichés or positive thinking. Grounded in Hope, based on the book of Hebrews, will help you encounter Jesus in such a powerful, comforting, and stabilizing way that He can become your lifeline.

Hebrews contains some of the most beautiful passages you’ll find in Scripture. It will comfort you and challenge you. Every word of it has a treasure to mine, and those who are willing to make the effort will be richly rewarded.

Grounded in Hope is ideal if you…

  • Long to know Jesus with greater intimacy
  • Are ready to grow in your trust in Him as your true source of hope
  • Have grown weary as you run your race, and need encouragement to persevere

For our St. Brendan group, we will begin on January 14 and end at the end of April for a total (non-consecutively) of 14 weeks. BECAUSE OF CURRENT CONDITIONS, WE NEED TO START VIRTUALLY with option to be in person when it is safe to do so.

2021 WWP GIH Schedule

Frequently Asked Questions

Both a morning and evening session are available to fit your schedule  virtually. WWP is held Thursday mornings from 9 to 10:30 AM  or evenings 7 to 8:30 PM (note new times). We will meet for 14 weeks (non-consecutively) beginning January 14.

We are placing breaks here and there to allow you time to really digest the material and catch up. There will be a 2-week break for Holy Week and Easter Week.

In-person participants will be in small groups of no more than 5 people and masked. Tables will be distanced as well, with the total number not exceeding safety recommendations. All participants will be asked to sign a diocesan COVID waiver.

A group of leaders will be trained on the St. Brendan safety and cleaning protocols to insure we are doing all we can at our level. There will also be no food or drinks served and no decorations. Back to basics of connection!

Grounded in Hope should be purchased through the WWP online store here

The cost is $40 plus shipping. We do not want cost to be a factor. Should you need financial assistance in purchasing your book, please reach out to Jennifer Rice who will keep all requests confidential.

We prefer to say, how are small groups discerned! A great deal of thought and prayer go into the discernment of small groups or tables. We try to balance ages, marital status and other qualities to create a diverse group. Ultimately, though, the Holy Spirit takes charge of these tables and, in His usual fashion, can surprise us in the results.

This year those small groups that have met through COVID have the option of continuing in their established group with this study.
