First Reconciliation

Children in the fourth grade attending the religious education program or St. Brendan School are prepared for the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the catechetical year. Since a child's readiness for this sacrament varies, children in second grade and third grade will receive catechesis on the Sacrament of Reconciliation and may receive this sacrament if parents deem the child ready before the fourth grade. In addition to the classes, parents with children in second, third, or fourth grade who desire that their child receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation need to attend one meeting in the fall with their child for catechesis on the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Older children will be prepared for this sacrament separately from the younger children. A twelve week course will be offered during the catechetical year in order to prepare the child or teen for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.           Weekly Confessions
Individual confessions are heard each week on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. It is recommended that you arrive at the beginning of the time period to ensure adequate time for the reception of the sacrament. Confessions are available by private appointment with one of our parish priests. Contact the Parish Office (614-876-1272) to schedule an appointment.
