We are glad you are here. Social media has changed a great deal since the early days of the World Wide Web. Our first parish website was a brave attempt to use a new medium in its infancy as we reached out to share the Gospel with those around us. Its successor, which this site replaces, was a bold step forward to create something more fresh and uptodate, and something that would bring together the entire parish fmaily in a coordinated way so that the commuinty could better serve its stakeholders and those around us. But with the fast paced change that is now social media that too is now being replaced with something much more interactive, and that all of our different parish ministries can actively use.
This website comes to us from the hands of many people. Jason Jourdan, our Communications Coordinator, designed the parish logos and the overall "feel" of the site. The staff at eCatholic have been wonderful in their responsiveness to our needs and requests and the parish staff and some ministries have helped test the site before its launch. To all of them I say THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU!
What is different about this site? It is much more interactive and involves the whole parish community in updating the site rather than relying on one person. Each parish ministry can have its own page(s) and update them as often as they like. For example our High School Youth Ministry will be able to give high school students "author" privilages so that they build and maintain their own page, with Adam Boyden, our Youth Minister, acting as the "publisher" who gives final approval for their data.
What does this mean? That this website belongs to the whole parish fmaily. It reflects our diversity, our interests, our love for the Lord Jesus, and above all our desire to share the Good News we have received with those around us.
Whether you are new to us, or a familiar face, WELCOME ABOARD! We look forward to meeting you, and invite you to join our parish family.
