This wonderful event raises money to support the school by funding exceptional home and school projects. For example, this year parents stepped up to the challenge in a huge way and thanks to their donations we have a new STEM lab to enhance our students learning experience.
Its a hugely popular and fun event. Even the Pastor and the Principal get roped in, auctioning off Lazertag, paintball events with them and providing dinners and cookouts for auction.
And... You don't have to be a school parent to attend ... all are welcome!
This annual event is hugely popular with games and bouncy castles for the little ones, a beautuful Mass outside at 12:15pm instead of in the church proper, and a picnic wih 650 of your best friends afterwards. A wonderful opportunity to meet people and have fellowship rooted in Christ. Check out the photo album!
In 2014 we had a wild idea - lets do a trunk or treat event for the children of the parish and their friends who live locally. We anticipated about 200 people would show up - over 600 came. And the rain doesnt stop us - last year it poured so we simply moved everything to the school gym and packed the place out.
On a crisp December evening after the 5:30pm Mass, when the sun has set and the parking lot is dark, a great star is seen in the distance guiding us to the stable, the straw, the crib, the animals and JESUS.
Our stable was specially built for us by parishioners and includes two stalls for petting zoo animals that we bring in for the evening. This wonderful event brings alive for us the true meaning of Christmas as the drama of God's gift to us is acted out. After the children have visited with Mary, Joseph and Jesus, and the petting zoo, we end with hot chocolate and cookies in the school gym.
