SOME
SUGGESTIONS FROM OUR VETERANS:
1. Set aside a consistent
time to do the program each week
2. Don't get behind; keep up with the schedule
3. Be sure to do the activities - the kids love them
4. Stay organized
5. Don't be critical of your teaching abilities
6. Don't worry about being 'perfect'
7. Relax and enjoy the time with your children
8. Incorporate everyday life into your lessons
9. Use a children's bible with the lessons
10. Attend all 4 (four) Home Faith meetings
11. Conduct lessons as a family
12. Give kids time to answer questions in their own way
without interruptions
13. Learn along with your children (It's been many years
since ‘CCD’!)

15. Come with an open mind
16. Always discuss with your children what they thought
of the lesson
17. Treat lesson day as if it were an unbreakable
appointment
18. Read ahead - Prepare ahead
19. Persevere
20. Moms, get Dads involved!
21. Add prayer to the lessons
22. Plan ahead for vacations and holidays
23. If your children distract each other, put them in
separate rooms
24. Enjoy the experience!
